Michael Page is seeking a senior data engineer based in Singapore to design and implement Azure-based data platforms with Databricks, focusing on data pipelines, governance, and analytics strategy.

You will work with stakeholders across business units to deliver scalable data solutions, optimize performance, and support AI/ML workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/DS/SE or related field; Master's preferred.
8+ years in data engineering, integration, modelling, optimization, data quality.
4+ years Azure Databricks experience with data platforms.
Strong Python (PySpark) and SQL; Java/Scala a plus.
Relational and NoSQL databases; Oracle advantageous.
Azure DevOps, CI/CD, version control, automated deployments.
Databricks LakeFlow Jobs and modern DevOps practices.
Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Purview, and data governance frameworks.
Power BI or other visualization tools preferred.
Experience supporting AI/ML workflows.

Job Description

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in data engineering, integration, modelling, optimization, and data quality.
At least 4 years of hands‑on experience designing and implementing Azure-based data platforms with Databricks.
Strong proficiency in Python (PySpark) and SQL; Java or Scala experience is a plus.
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases; Oracle experience is advantageous.
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployments.
Hands‑on experience with Databricks LakeFlow Jobs and modern DevOps practices.
Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, and data governance frameworks.
Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools preferred.
Experience supporting AI/ML workflows, feature engineering, and production inference environments is highly desirable.
