Job summary

Zenika is seeking a Data Engineer Consultant in Singapore to design and implement scalable data platforms for public sector and enterprise clients. You’ll work hands-on with AWS, Databricks, PySpark, Python and SQL to deliver production-ready data solutions.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data engineering, ideally on AWS-native platforms.
Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time streaming architectures.
Hands-on with Databricks, PySpark, Python and SQL for large-scale data transformations.
Strong understanding of data warehouse design and governance.

Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures (lakes, warehouses, real-time pipelines).
Develop and maintain high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines for large data volumes.
Implement and optimise data transformations in Databricks using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
Mentor junior engineers, review code, and promote data engineering best practices.
Integrate and automate data flows using AWS services (Glue, Redshift, S3, EMR, Lambda) and real-time tools (Kafka, Kinesis).
Monitor and troubleshoot performance, ensuring reliability, security, and cost-efficiency across data ops.
