Job summary

Trinity Consulting Services is seeking an experienced Data Engineer Lead in Singapore to design and optimize enterprise data pipelines and lakehouse architectures. You will lead the implementation of scalable, production-grade data solutions, collaborating with analytics, software, and security teams.

The role requires 8+ years in IT with 5+ years hands-on data engineering, expert SQL, Python, Kubernetes, and strong data governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years IT experience with 5+ years hands-on data engineering or datapipeline development
Expert-level SQL proficiency with SQL Server, including query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
Advanced Python programming skills for data processing, automation, and production-grade pipeline development
Kubernetes expertise – Design, deploy, and manage containerized data pipelines in on-premise environments
Strong data modelling expertise – Relational and non-relational concepts
Experience with lakehouse/data lake architecture – Multi-layer datalakes, partitioning, metadata management, Iceberg tables
CI/CD and DevOps practices – CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated testing, IaC tools
ETL/ELT orchestration with Apache Airflow or similar tools
NoSQL databases experience (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
Apache Spark / PySpark for distributed processing and optimization
Data security and governance – RBAC, data masking, compliance frameworks
Ability to work autonomously on complex projects with high code quality
Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills
