Job summary

Nutanix Singapore is seeking a Senior Consultant to drive virtualization, SDN, and security solutions for next‑gen data centers in a hybrid work setting. You'll lead design, implementation, and optimization of Nutanix solutions for clients, with strong emphasis on customer success and cross‑functional collaboration.

In this role, expect 5+ years of related experience, hands-on architecture and delivery, and frequent client interactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a consultant in storage, virtualization, VDI, or cloud space.
• Knowledge of Nutanix AOS/AHV and VMware ESXi or other converged or hyper-converged platforms.
• Ability to independently analyse and diagnose highly complex problems across different platforms.
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (Broadcom VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V).
• Deep understanding of storage fabrics and technologies like SAN, NAS, file, block and object storage services, DFS.
• Strong data protection knowledge (replication, snapshot, backup, restore).
• Ability to diagnose networking problems across platforms; familiarity with datacenter fabric topologies and firewall/RADIUS concepts.
• Hands-on ability to service client requirements.
• Robust customer relationship attitude with focus on customer satisfaction.
• Comfort with whiteboarding and PowerPoint presentations; creating best practice white papers.

About the Team

The team for the Senior Consultant position is part of the Professional Services organization at Nutanix, located in Singapore. You will report to the Senior Manager of Professional Services, who is known for their empowering leadership style and emphasis on mentorship. The manager values open communication and encourages team members to take ownership of projects while providing guidance and support when needed. This position is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office for three days per week, allowing for collaborative onsite work while also offering flexibility for remote tasks.

The role entails a travel requirement of approximately 15%, which will involve visiting client sites or attending industry events as necessary. This travel is essential for building relationships with clients and ensuring that projects are executed effectively in various environments.

Job Summary

The Nutanix Services and Customer Solutions team delivers a strong influence on the success of each Nutanix implementation by its customers. The Services function ensures success by engaging with customers in the pre-sales and post-sales stages by assisting in their software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully, the Services team, working with our partners, ensures customer success in fully implementing their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The Nutanix Services Consulting function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration and automation services as well as project management.

Responsibilities:

• Billable Project work 80% of time.
• Design and/or implement Nutanix solution for customers primarily in Singapore in both onsite and remote model.
• Prepare Implementation Documentation and perform knowledge transfer and handover to customer
• Flexible to work outside of business hours and/or weekends at times to adhere to customer’s change window. In such cases, off-in-lieu will be provided.

What You Need to Bring

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as consultant in the storage, virtualization, VDI, or cloud space.
  • Knowledge of Nutanix AOS/AHV and VMware ESXi or other converged or hyper-converged platforms
  • Able to independently analyse and diagnose highly complex problems across different platforms.
• Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (Broadcom VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V)
• Deep understanding of storage fabrics and technologies like SAN, NAS, file, block and object storage services, DFS.
• Good understanding of data protection technologies like replication, snapshot, backup, restore, etc.
• Ability to independently analyze and diagnose highly complex networking problems across different platforms. Understanding of datacenter network fabric topologies and common architecture (both L2/L3 based), firewall, Ethernet, Radius, etc.
• Ability to be technically hands‑on in servicing the requirements of a client.
• Robust customer relationship attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction
• High level of comfort performing whiteboarding sessions and PowerPoint presentations, create best practice white papers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior Nutanix deployment experience
• High comfort level using one or more automation tools or orchestration frameworks such as VMware vCO, Microsoft Systems Center Orchestrator, PowerShell, Python, Bash, Puppet, Chef, OpenStack.
• Deep understanding of software-defined storage with a particular focus on distributed storage.
• Experience with Microsoft Virtualization Technologies and Azure pack.
• AWS certified solutions professional.
• Desktop Virtualization technologies such as Citrix Xen Desktop and VMware Horizon View.
• Migration of workload, both P2V and V2V.
• Experience in network virtualization with a focus on NSX or ACI
• Experience in virtualizing enterprise applications (SQL, Exchange, Oracle).
• Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCAP, VCIX, CCNA, CCIA and RHCE.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
