Job summary

SAMKANG CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead site operations on major civil projects in Singapore. You will coordinate engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to deliver on time, within budget and to specifications.

You will report to management on progress, review drawings and method statements, ensure safety and quality, mentor staff, and maintain rigorous documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant construction/civil engineering experience.
• Proven experience managing civil engineering projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, project planning, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in project scheduling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall construction site operations to ensure successful project delivery.
• Report directly to the Management on project progress and site matters.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all construction activities according to project schedule.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications.
• Oversee site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review project drawings, method statements, and work sequences prior to implementation.
• Manage manpower, equipment, and material resources efficiently.
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular progress reports.
• Identify project risks, delays, and operational challenges, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company policies, and authorities’ requirements.
• Ensure quality workmanship and minimize abortive work and material wastage.
• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and inspections with clients, consultants, and authorities.
• Resolve technical and operational issues arising on site.
• Mentor and guide engineers, supervisors, and site staff.
• Ensure proper documentation and record keeping for all site activities and project matters.
