Zurich Services (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team in Singapore on a 12-month contract. You will implement and maintain our compliance framework, advise on regulatory matters, and partner with internal stakeholders to uphold high ethical standards across the organization.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance Singapore, you will coordinate risk assessments, monitor regulatory developments, and drive improvement initiatives in sanctions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years in a compliance role within insurance or corporate environment.
• Experience developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
• Strong knowledge of local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Experience with compliance assessments and assurance activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain an effective compliance framework, policies, and procedures.

Senior Compliance Specialist (12-month contract)

We are seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations and internal policies. You will work closely with various departments to implement compliance programs, conduct assurance activities, and provide advisory on compliance matters. The Compliance team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct within our business unit. Reporting to the Head of Compliance Singapore, you will also serve as a key point of contact for managing and coordinating compliance-related initiatives, projects, training, and communications with stakeholders. Your role will be instrumental in fostering a compliance culture across the organization.

Your Role

The primary responsibilities:

• Implement, and maintain an effective compliance framework, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and assurance activities to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions as necessary, ensuring consistency and alignment with Group policies and procedures.
• Monitor, assess and interpret regulatory developments and emerging compliance risks, evaluate their impact on the business, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement required changes.
• Provide oversight and advisory on sanctions screening activities and escalations; conduct risk-based monitoring and implement enhancement of sanctions compliance framework.
• Provide practical compliance advice, guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement remediation actions.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings as required.
• Serve as a point of contact for regulatory authorities and industry associations.
• Support Data and AI Governance, Risk and Audit control tasks as compliance advocate.
• Manage and coordinate compliance-related projects from inception to completion, including holding regular alignment meetings with project stakeholders.
• Drive compliance-related innovation and automation activities.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in compliance.

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 or more years of experience in a compliance role within an insurance or corporate environment.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
• Strong knowledge of relevant local laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Experience with conducting compliance assessments and assurance activities.
• Sound understanding of risk management principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and attention to detail.
• Capable of quickly adapting to new methodologies and working towards deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
