Job summary
A leading construction consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post-tender activities, prepare contracts, and control project budgets. Key Responsibilities
- Manage pre- and post-tender activities, including quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and preparation of tender submissions.
- Prepare, review, and manage contracts, variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts.
- Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to meet project requirements.
- Monitor and control project budgets, implementing cost-saving initiatives and value engineering measures where applicable.
- Conduct site surveys, measurements, and valuations in collaboration with clients and subcontractors.
- Coordinate closely with sales, design, and project teams on all contractual, technical, and M&E-related matters.
- Evaluate tender returns for cost competitiveness and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Support project teams with technical proposals, progress monitoring, and resolution of contractual or cost-related issues.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial construction or M&E projects.
- Proficient in quantity take-off tools and capable of interpreting technical and engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, project budgeting, and cost control practices.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities; able to collaborate across teams.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to handle multiple projects independently.
