Job summary

A leading company in international transportation is seeking a Global Commercial Head based in Singapore. This role involves developing strategies for the business development team and leading initiatives to secure opportunities and meet commercial targets, particularly in wind power logistics. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in international transportation, strong communication skills, and a proven track record in business development within the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications

  • At least 7+ years experience in international transportation, especially in wind power logistics.
  • Strong understanding of wind energy markets, including offshore projects and vessel allocation.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy for the BD team based on alignment with management.

Role Overview

As Global Commercial Head, develop a reasonable strategy for the BD team based on fully alignment with management team and each Country Head

Key Responsibilities
  • In charge of Industrial Projects (lP) business development globally
  • To lead lP BD team to secure business opportunities and fulfill the commercial target
  • All commercial BDs of IP function dotted line report to this role
  • To setup general BD targets and tutoring lP BD team to meet company profit KPl
  • Assist and support management team in the development and implementation of strategies for Industrial Park and Wind Power Developers
  • Drive the growth of new accounts and nurture existing relationships
  • Highly coordinated with MPP Chartering team and Pricing and Implementation teams to make sure the successful delivery of business
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to influence decisions/actions through provision of value-added inputs into the organization's business processes
  • Forecasting and analyzing each local market conditions to optimize business opportunities.
  • Other job assigned by headquarter management team
  • Other management functions that are required by headquarters. Fully alignment with head office financial /risk /legal/IT system/admin/audit/strategy and HR/talent management
Requirements
  • At least 7+ years experience in international transportation, especially in wind power logistics
  • Minimum education of University Degree or Masters in Engineering and/or Business equivalent
  • Proven track record in business development, preferably in renewable energy
  • Familiar with Western OEMs or has worked in overseas branches of Chinese wind power companies
  • Strong understanding of wind energy markets, including offshore projects and vessel allocation
  • Solid background in logistics and supply chain, with port operations experience as a plus
  • Well-connected in the offshore wind industry, with insight into the energy value chain
  • Capable of conducting and integrating due diligence into business decisions
  • Practical, hands-on approach with industry-specific expertise
  • Strong communication skills, resilient, energetic and growth oriented with the ability to credibly interact with existing and potential clients.
  • Highly experienced in front line customer communications and customerrelationships
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Willingness to be “hands on” and work closely within a matrix organization
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across different cultures, collaborative across various parts of the organization
