Job summary

A leading marine and offshore company in Singapore is seeking a Senior Commercial Executive, Invoicer for their ship repair division. You will play a critical role as the primary contact with clients and manage billing and project costs effectively. The ideal candidate has a diploma in engineering and at least 3 years of experience in ship repairs or shipbuilding.   • Position: Senior Commercial Executive, Invoicer – Ship Repair
  • Well Established Singaporean Marine & Offshore MNC
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday (7:30am – 5:00pm)
  • Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $6,500 + Variable Bonus
  • Working Location: Boon Lay
  • Company Transport Provided

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plays a critical role within the Commercial Department as the key point of contact with external clients, as well as internal stakeholders – production, subcon, purchasing, finance – during the project life cycle.
  • Performs the key role of capturing all the planned and additional work and billing clients in a timely manner.
  • Attend VSCC meeting and progress meeting on board vessel.
  • Inspection of additional work with trades / SRM / subcontractor / Owner.
  • Submit and agree prices for all additional work, based on manhours, materials and subcontractor, before commencement of work.
  • Submit weekly cost update to owner.
  • Prepare part payment invoice and follow up with remittance.
  • Negotiation and settlement of final repair invoice with owner / Tech Supt
  • Monitor, track and report project budget and P&L on a weekly basis
  • Project Costing/Revenue reporting to Finance for Month end closing.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any relevant discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in the fields of ship repairs or shipbuilding.
