Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a CNC Programmer who will create and modify NC programs and designs, as well as manage tooling. Applicants should have strong skills in CNC programming, CAD/CAM software such as Siemens NX, and be able to communicate effectively with machinists. This role is essential for maintaining efficient operations in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Create new NC programs using Siemens CAD software.
• Edit and modify existing NC programs.
• Create simple 3D solid process models.
• Design workholding and fixturing as needed.
• Identify and apply appropriate tooling.
• Maintain tooling database.

Skills

CNC programming

Ability to program mills and lathes

Ability to program multi-axis machines

Understanding of machine code (G & M code)

Ability to read CAD drawings

Duties and Responsibilities

Create new NC programs using Siemens CAD software

Edit/modify existing NC programs

Create simple 3D solid Process Models

Design workholding/fixturing, as needed, with assistance from Manufacturing Engineering

Identify and apply appropriate tooling based on material types, equipment considerations, cutting conditions, etc.

Maintain tooling database

Demonstrated knowledge of CNC programming

Ability to program both mills and lathes

Ability to program multi axis machines preferred

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of machine code (G & M code)

Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings

Demonstrated knowledge of GD&T

Demonstrated ability to learn and apply CAD/CAM software for programming

Experience with Siemens NX/Unigraphics CAD/CAM software, preferred but not required

Strong communication and organizational skills

Ability to communicate with machinists to resolve program issues

Superior time management skills
