Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to support and optimize our hybrid IT environment. This role places strong emphasis on Identity & Access Management (IAM), Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for automated provisioning, CI/CD pipeline management, and containerisation support at the infrastructure and platform layer (e.g., AWS ECS).
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of CDL’s platforms across development, staging, and production environments. The role will also drive automation initiatives, strengthen observability and incident response, and support integration platforms. Hands‑on experience in AWS and Azure operations, combined with strong system administration skills, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure & Operations
- Operate, monitor, and maintain AWS and Azure environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Provision and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation).
- Optimize cloud environments with best practices for performance, security, and cost governance.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Manage workforce and consumer IAM platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Okta).
- Implement access governance, provisioning workflows, and security compliance controls.
- CI/CD & Automation
- Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, deployments, and environment provisioning.
- Manage source code repositories, release workflows, and deployment across Dev, QA, staging, and production.
- Develop automation scripts and workflows to increase operational efficiency.
- Containerisation Support
- Provide infrastructure-level support for container and serverless platforms such as AWS ECS, Fargate, and Lambda.
- Ensure containerized workloads are deployed, scaled, and monitored efficiently in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to integrate container orchestration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Systems & Collaboration Platform Administration
- Administer and support Windows and Linux servers (patching, hardening, performance tuning).
- Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Integration Platform Operations
- Operate and support API gateways, integration middleware platforms such as Boomi, Azure Data Factory (ADF) at the infrastructure and platform level.
- Manage packaging, deployment, and ongoing administration of integration platforms.
- Monitoring & Incident Response
- Leverage observability tools (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Splunk, etc.) to manage system health, detect anomalies, and resolve issues proactively.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for infrastructure and cloud platform related issues.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, including SOPs, deployment guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing across teams to improve practices and reduce operation risk
Requirements
- Proven experience in cloud infrastructure operations with hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) practices and technologies (e.g. OIDC, SAML) for both workforce and consumer identities, preferably with platforms like Azure AD, Okta, or similar.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
- Working knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, AWS ECS, Fargate, Lambda) at infrastructure level
- Practical experience in managing CI/CD pipelines and supporting code deployments across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, including performance tuning, patching, and security hardening.
- Proficiency in administering integration platforms, including API gateways, middleware services such as Boomi.
- Familiarity with observability platform for metrics monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Splunk, etc.) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in cloud-native and traditional cloud infrastructure operations or related domains.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
