Overview

The KKH Psychosocial Trauma Support Service (PTSS) provides psychological and emotional support to help women, children and their families recover from traumatic experiences. PTSS operates both hospital-based clinical work at KKH and community project work to enhance Singapore's capacity to provide post-crisis/trauma psycho-emotional support and interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Hospital-based work: Specialized psycho-emotional assessments and interventions for women, children and families with trauma-related concerns in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
  • Community-based project work: Conducting talks and training in the area of child trauma and support, and collaborating with the community to improve preparedness to respond to crises and traumas for children and families.
  • Clinical training and professional supervision will be provided to develop growth and expertise in trauma work.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognised university
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written), effective interpersonal skills, and good psychological report writing skills
  • Possess relevant qualifications to obtain registration as a full member with a recognised professional body (e.g., Singapore Psychological Society, Australian Psychological Society, etc.)
  • Relevant clinical and supervision experience
  • Past clinical experience in child and/or trauma work is desirable but not a prerequisite to be eligible for this position
  • For Senior Psychologist position: at least 4 years of relevant clinical experience in providing clinical supervision is desirable
