Responsibilities
- Review feasibility study outcomes and risk management plans.
- Align project scope with stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure compliance with: Professional Engineers Act, Resident Engineer & Technical Engineer Accreditation, Building Control Act, Fire Safety Act, WSH Act.
- Oversee conceptual, schematic, and detailed engineering designs.
- Validate load calculations and engineering models.
- Identify design conflicts and guide resolution.
- Review and lead authority submissions and sustainable design strategies.
- Evaluate technical cost estimates and tender documents.
- Assess project schedules, resource allocation, and tender bids.
- Align all contractual terms with project goals.
- Supervise work quality of contractors and subcontractors.
- Ensure successful testing, commissioning, and project handovers.
- Approve defect resolution and accurate as-built documentation.
- Undertake design of major building and infrastructure works.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and design checkers.
- Prepare alternative and value-engineered solutions.
- Supervise project teams and ensure milestone delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (PE-recognized qualifications preferred).
- 5–7 years of experience in civil/structural design and project supervision.
- Proven experience in building, underground, industrial, or infrastructure design.
- Strong technical knowledge of local codes and engineering standards.
- Skilled in software such as Revit, AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAFE, ETABS, Orion, and TSD.
- Familiar with CoresNet and submission processes.
