Job summary

LEMON TREE CHINESE LEARNING CENTRE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking qualified Chinese language teachers to deliver lessons from N2 to P6, aligned with MOE syllabus.

You will develop programmes, assess student progress, mentor junior teachers, and collaborate to maintain high teaching quality while engaging parents. The role requires Saturday/Sunday work and a salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education / Chinese Studies / Chinese Language or related discipline.
• Familiar with MOE Chinese syllabus and exam formats.
• Strong command of Chinese language with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Passionate about learning and teaching.
• Familiar with MS Office and digital teaching tools.
• Prior curriculum development and teacher mentoring experience preferred.
• Must be able to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
• Minimum 3 years' teaching Chinese; senior teaching or leadership experience is an advantage.
• Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Chinese language lessons to students across N2 to P6.
• Develop and implement MOE-aligned Chinese programmes.
• Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide feedback.
• Prepare students for school examinations and Higher Chinese assessments.
• Lead curriculum planning and standardisation across levels.
• Develop teaching materials, worksheets, assessment papers and enrichment programmes.
• Mentor and support junior teachers through lesson observations and coaching.
• Conduct internal training sessions and provide guidance on classroom management and teaching strategies.
• Communicate with parents regarding students' progress and learning goals.
• Handle parent feedback professionally and recommend suitable learning strategies.
• Monitor teaching quality and ensure consistency across classes and centres.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance the learning environment.
• Passionate about nurturing students' confidence and interest in the Chinese language.
