Job summary

NTU Singapore’s Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) seeks a Senior Research Fellow to develop a CFD engine and cloud AI-based framework for business valuation. You will lead CFD tool development, collaborate with partners, and advance energy modelling workflows across telecoms and buildings sectors.

The role requires a PhD and at least 3 years in CFD, strong OpenFOAM/C++ skills, and experience with energy modelling tools. Contribution to publications is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant CFD development experience.
• Familiarity with CFD solvers (Fluent, 6Sigma, STAR-CCM+, etc.).
• Proficiency in OpenFOAM development and/or C++ in a CFD environment.
• Experience with energy modelling tools and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop new CFD solutions in partnership with academic and technology partners.
• Identify new research and technology development priorities.
• Provide CFD technical leadership to new research programs.
• Work with team to develop OpenFOAM methods, processes and workflows.
• Develop and implement mesh, solver and post-processing methodologies to improve CFD tools and workflows.
• Support and optimise CFD tools including monitoring and resolving issues.
• Ensure CFD simulations align with commercial tool capabilities.
• Conduct energy usage analysis for various scenarios and report findings.
• Publish papers and contribute to project documentation.
