Job summary

ChemLex, a new R&D and production facility in Singapore, seeks a C# Software Engineer to maintain on-site control systems, improve performance, and develop innovative automation capabilities. You will work on data acquisition from PLCs, real-time visualization, and UI development using WinForms/WPF under MVVM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of software development experience; experience in electromechanical/industrial control industry preferred.
• Proficient in C# and VisualStudio; experienced with .Net Framework, WinForm, and WPF for custom UI development; familiar with MVVM; skilled in multithreading, delegates/events, serial communication, and network programming; experience with OPC, PLC, RS232/485, and USB required.
• Familiar with Ethernet, industrial bus communications and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Modbus, Profinet, CAN.
• Proficient in using Git.
• Vision algorithms experience is a plus: alignment guidance, presence/defect/dimensional detection.
• Fluency in English speaking, reading and writing.
• Willing to travel internationally for training and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform software requirement analysis and architecture design per product planning.
• Develop upper-level software for automation equipment, industrial control systems, functionality enhancements, and performance optimization.
• Develop HMI for automated control systems.
• Develop software for data acquisition from PLCs and equipment, real-time data visualization, data querying, and statistical analysis.
• Write and review requirement specs and functional design documents.
