Caterpillar currently has an opportunity for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst based in Singapore. Reporting to the Data & Insights Manager, you will support the development and testing of new products or services, collect feedback from clients and recommend improvements.
What You Will Do:
Data is continuously generated by hundreds of thousands of customers and Cat machines that are operated around the globe. This is creating a gold mine of information to support our customers’ growth and deliver insights to Caterpillar teams. The Business Intelligence analyst leads strategic and tactical analytic projects focused on resolving business problems to unlock service growth potentials and drive digital adoption. Turning data into insights, customer value, and growth is essential to Caterpillar industries and the Cat Digital organization.
As a Business Intelligence analyst, you will join a diverse team which focuses on discovering the future of aftermarket through the analytics of field data, thus ensuring that the best decisions are made by our internal partners to achieve digital adoption and customer success.
By joining the Data & Insights team, your contributions will support future digital adoption in all industries served by Caterpillar. You will be an integral part of our team of talented Insight’s analysts and data engineers covering all Caterpillar industries working alongside other data scientists and analysts in the Cat Digital organization. You will gain experience in a vibrant and diverse multinational organization and develop your understanding of business practices and the data‑driven revolution.
What You Have:
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
Business Assessment: Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.
Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non‑functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.
