Job Summary

The Senior/Business Development Manager is responsible for driving student recruitment and enrolment growth through both agency partnerships and direct recruitment channels. This role focuses on expanding SFMS’s presence and network within the assigned region (China or Southeast Asia), developing strategic relationships with agents and education partners and implementing marketing initiatives to achieve student enrolment targets in line with the School’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Student Recruitment & Market Growth
  • Develop and execute targeted business development plans to achieve student enrolment KPIs in the assigned region.
  • Identify and secure new recruitment channels and partners to expand the school’s market reach.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and student recruitment patterns to inform strategies.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure smooth and timely conversion from enquiry to enrolment.
2. Agency & Partnership Management
  • Identify, appoint, and manage education agents and strategic partners to promote SFIS programs.
  • Conduct regular training and engagement sessions for agents to ensure accurate representation of SFIS offerings.
  • Evaluate agent performance through regular reviews, conversion analysis, and compliance checks.
  • Develop incentive schemes and marketing support plans to boost agent performance and loyalty.
3. Direct Recruitment & Outreach
  • Implement direct recruitment strategies including online campaigns, school visits, info sessions, and webinars.
  • Engage directly with prospective students and parents to promote the school’s programs, values, and pathways.
  • Support school open houses, marketing events, and overseas roadshows to increase visibility and lead generation.
4. Marketing & Branding Support
  • Provide market insights and feedback to the Marketing team for localized campaigns and messaging.
  • Collaborate to develop promotional materials, translated collaterals, and social media content suited to target regions.
  • Represent the school professionally at education fairs, exhibitions, and networking events.
5. Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Track and report monthly progress on leads, conversion rates, agent performance, and market development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads and partner engagements using CRM tools.
  • Provide periodic business reports and recommendations to the Head of Business Development.
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Education Management
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in student recruitment, education business development, or international school marketing
  • Proven track record in achieving enrolment growth through agent networks and direct recruitment channels
  • Strong understanding of the education landscape and student mobility trends within the assigned market (China or Southeast Asia)
  • Results‑driven with strong business acumen
  • Strong initiative, accountability, and persistence in achieving outcomes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Skilled in partnership building, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency in English and relevant regional languages (e.g., Mandarin for China, or Bahasa/Thai/Vietnamese for SEA markets) preferred
  • Willingness to travel regionally
