Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Wealth Management, specifically in Investment Portfolio Statements and Client Reporting. The role involves close collaboration with Regional Emerging Markets business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams to deliver high-quality, scalable reporting solutions across the end-to-end delivery lifecycle.
Key Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in a technology-driven environment as a Functional Business Analyst within the Wealth Management domain
- Strong hands-on experience with Investment Portfolio Statements and Client Reporting
- In-depth understanding of banking products and business processes in Wealth Management
- Strong knowledge of:
- Financial instruments and asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives, derivatives)
- Investment strategies and portfolio construction concepts
- Transaction types (buy/sell, dividends, interest, corporate actions)
- Cost basis methodologies
- Proven expertise in performance measurement and attribution
- Experience working with portfolio accounting and reporting platforms
- Strong understanding of data aggregation, reconciliation, and reporting workflows
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting client and portfolio reporting
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery model
- Familiarity with APIs and integration patterns within financial systems
Key Responsibilities
- Engage closely with Regional Emerging Markets business stakeholders to understand current-state processes, systems, and pain points
- Conduct detailed analysis to identify business requirements, gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of investment portfolio statements, including:
- Data aggregation and reconciliation
- Holdings, transactions, and performance reporting
- Statement layout, presentation, and customization
- Analyze end-to-end data flows, system interdependencies, and reconciliation processes supporting statement generation
- Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions with:
- Business Managers
- Relationship Managers
- Operations teams
- Legal and Compliance stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into clear and actionable:
- Functional specifications
- User stories
- Acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and technical architects to design optimal portfolio reporting solutions
- Develop mock-ups and prototypes to visualize solutions and gather stakeholder feedback
- Prepare detailed test plans and test cases to validate solution quality
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including user training and issue resolution
- Act as a key liaison throughout the end-to-end development lifecycle, ensuring clarity of requirements and domain alignment
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business users, technology teams, and external vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, user manuals, and training materials
- Provide training and ongoing support to end users and internal teams

- Experience with core banking platforms such as Avaloq, T24, or MarginMan
- Prior experience working with external vendors and third-party reporting solutions
