As part of our ongoing digital transformation, the ResMed Supply Chain is evolving to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and increase capacity.

The Senior Business Analyst role for Manufacturing & Automation will drive strategic transformation initiatives within our Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team to enable business solutions across the ResMed Supply Chain. This pivotal role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners, orchestrating the delivery of innovative solutions that enhance our end‑to‑end manufacturing and Supply Chain capabilities.

Combining Supply Chain domain with advanced business analysis skills, the Senior Business Analyst will identify, evaluate, and implement technology solutions, in partnership with the Supply Chain team, that drive strategic and operational change. The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate and deliver on critical initiatives across our global supply chain network, including:

  • Functional design for an automated storage and retrieval system
  • Functional design for the use of AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle) and AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robot) in manufacturing facilities
  • Automation of manual processes through emerging technologies
  • Integration of advanced analytics
  • Support for greenfield factory setups, plant expansions, and new entity onboarding into enterprise systems

This role requires a strategic mindset to align technology investments with business objectives, strong leadership skills to guide cross‑functional discussions, and the technical acumen to evaluate complex system integrations. Responsibilities
  • Partner with key business stakeholders across the Supply Chain unit, engaging in ideation discussions to define business problems and use cases, and serve as a thought leader for technical business processes.
  • Collaborate with site engineering, manufacturing, and third‑party vendors to translate physical process automation requirements into scalable digital solutions.
  • Participate in the development of the domain technology detailed discovery analysis, evaluating and driving technology recommendations that address defined business problems and support the objectives of the business unit.
  • Engage with stakeholders and end users to research, identify, develop and document requirements.
  • Define and document current & future state business processes, gathering and documenting the business requirements, functional specifications, non‑functional requirements (e.g., data privacy, information security, audit and compliance), and design constraints for the solution.
  • In collaboration with GTS Architects, facilitate ideation & solution design workshops.
  • Elaborate well‑documented user stories, demonstrating good linkage to requirements and splitting epics into user stories.
  • Identify potential risks associated with technology and operational change and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and the technical delivery team to ensure the right solution is implemented correctly.
  • Ensure full requirements traceability with documented evidence for each release.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of relevant business application roadmaps, ensuring business value realization and alignment to target state application and platform architecture, security and privacy requirements.
  • Perform application and software assessments, participate in RFPs with business stakeholders and provide recommendations for Supply Chain technology investments.
  • Prepare and present proposals to GTS and Supply Chain leadership.
  • Understand the concepts of standardization and reusability of design components to maximize value across regions, capabilities, and teams.
  • Champion the growth of the department culture—create safety and trust within the team, learn from failures, and celebrate diversity of thought.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of Supply Chain technology trends to identify future opportunities aligned with ResMed strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years delivery experience of medium to large and complex technology application implementation across business process analysis, requirements analysis and solution design.
  • Proficient domain knowledge in Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes.
  • Consistently strives to achieve personal and team business objectives, utilizing effective interpersonal styles and methods.
  • Strong influencing and decision‑making skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels from both business and technology domains.
  • Demonstrates strong commercial understanding and acumen.
  • Able to grasp and adapt to/embrace new industry trends that can lead to new business opportunities and system innovations.
  • Proactive in keeping self and team updated on the latest industry offerings, best practice and ways of working.
  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to the targeted audience.
  • Highly self‑motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership.
  • Strong skill set in business process mapping and workshop facilitation.
  • Ability to facilitate the identification and documentation of business process requirements.
  • Experience with user story decomposition, mapping and documentation.
  • Proven experience working in an Agile environment and management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in solving unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies and tools used in the Supply Chain and Manufacturing domains, such as ERP systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, warehouse automation and data analytics platforms.
  • Experience working with Supply Chain and Manufacturing related applications.
  • Demonstrated success in working within extensive, multi‑layered organizations, excelling in cross‑functional and complex environments.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Experience working with solution integration partners and automation vendors in the context of smart manufacturing and factory design.
  • Familiar with integration of automation systems (e.g., industrial IoT integration, digital twin concepts).
  • Sound knowledge of business process performance metrics and reporting.
  • Familiar with the use of BPMN.
  • Familiar and use of the APQC framework and SCOR model.
