Lead software quality assurance activities for internal engineering initiatives, managing QA teams to ensure delivery of robust, high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with QA and automation engineers within Agile development cycles across multiple platforms and software teams.
- Review, refine, and implement testing strategies while driving continuous improvements in quality and efficiency.
- Oversee and coordinate testing phases including System Testing, System Integration Testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Facilitate effective cross-functional communication to support requirements gathering, needs analysis, and operational planning.
- Collaborate with vendors, business stakeholders, technical, and operations teams to ensure successful program testing outcomes.
- Align testing schedules, environments, and data requirements with external partners, maintaining governance throughout all testing phases.
- Evaluate test plans, review release documentation, analyze results, and assess risks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Proactively identify and resolve constraints, dependencies, and risks; provide project support and manage documentation of testing activities.
- Develop detailed documentation including UAT scenarios, End-to-End test cases, and test scripts.
- Manage testing cycles for payment and cash management systems covering regression, integration, functional, E2E, and automation testing.
- Apply knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle processes to ensure quality delivery.
- Maintain and update test repositories with accurate test cases and scenarios.
- Partner with SIT and UAT teams to review scenarios, clarify requirements, and support testers and developers.
- Log and track defects using defect management tools, prioritize issues by severity, and escalate when necessary.
- Generate and deliver reports on testing progress, metrics, and outcomes.
- Lead defect management, including analysis, tracking, and resolution.
- Utilize test management tools such as XRAY and JIRA effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience, including 5–7 years in project management with a focus on payment systems and cash management applications.
- Hands-on expertise with payment platforms such as Payments Hub, clearing and settlement systems, ACH programs, and related channels.
- Strong domain knowledge of payments, including clearing processes, ISO 20022 standards, SEPA, and SWIFT protocols, with proven experience in data mapping and validation.
- Practical experience across various payment types such as TT, RTGS, LVP, Payroll, Cheques, Demand Drafts, Cashier Orders, and Mass/Bulk Payments.
- Skilled in UAT, E2E, functional, and integration testing of banking and financial applications.
- Exposure to Retail, Wholesale, and Corporate Banking, covering Domestic and International Payments, Payment Factory, ACH, Real-Time Payments, Liquidity Management, Compliance/AML, FX, and Swift/ISO messaging.
- Functional testing experience with GPP-SP (Global PayPlus Service Platform).
- Solid understanding of end-to-end IT system development and testing life cycles.
- Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships with program directors, architects, QA, and technical teams across global sites, with flexibility for occasional travel.
