Summary

The Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for assisting in the development, analysis, and management of the organization's budget. This role involves collecting and analyzing financial data, preparing budget reports, monitoring budget performance, and providing recommendations for budget adjustments. The Budget Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate budget planning and efficient resource allocation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, including gathering data, developing budget models, and creating budget presentations.
  • Monitor budget performance by comparing actual results with budgeted amounts and analyzing variances.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports for management review.
  • Work with department managers to understand their budget needs and provide guidance on budget management.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain budget tracking tools and databases.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of budget policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve budget requests, ensuring compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for special projects and initiatives.
  • Managing administrative release and transfer of budget or helping to create Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), which is important for tracking financial data within projects or tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years hands‑on experience in budget analysis, financial analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and budget management techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail‑oriented and organized.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Accounting related certification, like CPA, CA, ACCA.
  • Experience with SAP S4 Hana would be an advantage
