Job summary

5G-Starlink Pte. within Capital Markets IT seeks a Senior Developer for the IMACS project. You will develop robust data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Java and Spark on HDFS, handling large-scale datasets and complex workflows.

Ideal candidates bring deep Java expertise, experience with big data stacks, and the ability to make architectural decisions while mentoring junior developers and communicating clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of software development experience.
• At least 5 years experience working with Java.
• Strong understanding of lambdas, streams, and futures in Java.
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures with complexity analysis.
• Strong ability to analyze code, understand execution flow and debug without a debugger.
• Experience with Maven, Git, writing and maintaining integration tests.
• Strong familiarity with Linux and bash.
• Good knowledge of SQL or SQL-inspired dialects such as HQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust processes to ingest huge amounts of data from disparate systems.
• Build processes that transform and use data with Spark on Hadoop (HDFS).
• Make architectural decisions balancing trade-offs and defend them to management and clients.
• Lead and mentor less experienced colleagues within the IMACS team.
