Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and maintain secure, scalable backend services powering citizen-facing applications. You will collaborate with frontend, mobile, product, and DevSecOps teams in an Agile environment.

The role requires strong Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript skills, experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, and AWS/ECS/EKS. You will ensure data integrity in PostgreSQL/MySQL and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5+ years in backend or full stack development.
• Strong Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript skills.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience integrating external APIs and systems.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL design.
• Dockerized apps and AWS ECS/EKS experience.
• Git, CI/CD, and Agile software practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs for web and mobile apps.
• Integrate with authentication, payments, and government services.
• Develop containerised microservices with Docker and AWS ECS/EKS.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Manage relational databases and data integrity.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and DevSecOps teams.
• Conduct code reviews, add automated tests, and support CI/CD.
• Adhere to government security standards and IM8 requirements.
