Job summary

Rakuten Asia Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Technical Lead to design, implement and operate scalable backend services for the Rakuten Coupon platform. You will translate product requirements into elegant technical solutions and guide architectural decisions.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with global teams to maintain high quality, reliable service levels and strong client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of Java and SQL for MySQL experience.
• Strong knowledge of service oriented architecture (SOA) and API design.
• Experience with Spring framework.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in large-scale B2C application development and maintenance.
• Ability to articulate architecture trade-offs and work in globally distributed Agile teams.
