EPAM Systems, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build and support Java 21 microservices for banking platforms.

You will shape API design, resilience and secure coding within a cross-functional Agile team. You will deliver REST APIs, implement distributed system patterns, and drive data modeling with Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, SQL databases, and DevOps collaboration on OpenShift.

Qualifications

• Java 21 expertise with long-term support versions.
• Spring Boot across the Spring Framework ecosystem.
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems fundamentals.
• REST API development with integration design.
• Spring Data JPA/Hibernate for persistence and ORM.
• SQL proficiency with Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB or PostgreSQL.
• OpenShift or Kubernetes experience with Git and build tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Java 21 microservices using Spring Boot.
• Deliver REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Drive service and API design, data modeling and decisions.
• Implement resilience, validation, security and transactions.
• Build persistence layers with Spring Data JPA/Hibernate.
• Create unit and integration tests and improve coverage.
• Improve code quality via automated checks and peer reviews.
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy on OpenShift and support services.
