Job summary

WGT EHR PTE. LTD. is seeking an Automation Senior/Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of automation equipment for electronics manufacturing, including semicon and PCB processes.

The role focuses on high-precision systems, component selection, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams. The ideal candidate brings at least six years in automation design, proficiency with SolidWorks 3D and EPDM, and a strong track record in delivering reliable factory

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in automation equipment design
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, sensor component selections
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC machine safety standards and regulations
• Proficient in SolidWorks 3D and EPDM
• Familiarity with reliability engineering principles and techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Manager and customer to understand design requirements and specifications
• Analyse project requirements and participate in concept generation
• Design high precision and high-tech automation equipment
• Selection of standard components such as sensor, pneumatic, motor, servo axis and robotics
• BOM preparation using SAP
• Coordinate with fabrication house and component suppliers
• Report project progress to Project Manager and superior
• Guide assembly technicians to build and test the equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
