Job Summary

As a Senior Audit Associate, you will be a key player in our audit team, taking charge of the execution and completion of audit engagements. This role requires a solid technical foundation, the ability to lead smaller engagements, and a commitment to mentoring junior staff. You will be the primary in-charge for a portfolio of clients, responsible for ensuring that audits are performed effectively, efficiently, and in line with the highest professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Execute Audits: Take end-to-end responsibility for planning, executing, and finalizing audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio.
  • Client Management: Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building strong relationships, managing expectations, and addressing complex audit and accounting queries professionally.
  • Technical Excellence: Perform and review complex audit areas, including but not limited to revenue, investments, provisions, and group consolidations. Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA).
  • Review and Quality Control: Supervise and review the work of Audit Associates, ensuring audit working papers are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
  • Financial Statements: Prepare and review complete sets of financial statements and the related disclosures.
  • Risk Management: Identify significant audit and accounting issues proactively and elevate them to managers and partners with recommended solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and constructive feedback to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Practice Development: Assist managers in identifying opportunities for value-added services to existing clients.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Recognized Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 3-4 years of progressive external audit experience within a public accounting firm in Singapore.
  • Proven experience in leading audit engagements from planning to completion with minimal supervision.
  • In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of SFRS, SSA, and the Singapore Companies Act.
  • Proven experience in supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Exceptional client relationship and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Proficiency in common accounting and audit software.
