Job summary

KPMG in Singapore is seeking an IT Audit and Data Assurance professional to plan and execute day-to-day engagements for a variety of clients, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality work.

You will evaluate IT controls, IT governance, and data quality to support client operations, and communicate actionable recommendations on IT risk and performance improvement. The role also involves mentoring junior staff and collaborating with global teams to drive innovative assurance services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MIS, Finance, or related field required.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CISM, CIA or CGEIT are a plus.
• Experience in IT audit, risk management, or compliance with IT focus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and MS Office skills.
• Familiarity with ERP and analytics tools is a plus.

• Plan and execute day-to-day activities of IT audit and data assurance engagements for a variety of clients, ensuring that work is delivered on time and meets high standards of quality.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls, IT governance practices, and data quality in supporting the client's business and operations.
• Identify, communicate, and provide value-adding recommendations on IT risk management issues and performance improvement opportunities to clients.
• Coach, mentor, and provide guidance to junior staff on their career and personal development, helping to create a positive and supportive team environment.
• Participate in broader development opportunities within the Audit function, gaining exposure to a range of services and expertise in IT and assurance.
• Collaborate with other teams globally, learn new technologies, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance business transformation initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Finance, or related fields (preferred). Certifications like CPA, CA, CISA, CISM, CIA or CGEIT are a plus.
• Technical & Analytical Skills:
  • Experience in audit, risk management, or compliance with a focus on IT.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Python) and traditional tools like Excel.
  • Will be familiar with using AI tools to carry out work more efficiently.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences.
  • Effective team player with leadership potential, time management, and project coordination skills.
  • Adaptability in managing shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
