Job summary

Job Expert Pte Ltd is hiring a semiconductor repair technician to fault identify, repair and refurbish components across multiple categories in a cleanroom environment. You will conduct acceptance tests, supervise IA students and support engineers in repairs.

The role requires a Diploma/NTec in Engineering with microelectronics background and at least 3 years in the semiconductor field. Safety and SOP adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher Nitec / Nitec in Engineering with microelectronics/mechatronics background.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor field.
• Expertise in soldering, pumps, valves, or strong microelectronics knowledge.
• Able to perform circuit board repair and component-level troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Identify faults, repair and refurbish on components including Indexer, RPS, RF Gen, RF Match, electronics, HV power supply.
• Conduct acceptance tests to ensure repeatable, reproducible functionality.
• Provide knowledge transfer and supervise Industrial Attachment (IA) students.
• Support module Equipment Engineers and repair semiconductor production equipment in cleanroom.
• Adhere to SOPs to achieve high repair quality and target 95% repair success rate.
• Perform inventory control on consumables and spare parts used in repair workshop.
• Source and liaise with vendors for quotations and track delivery timelines.
• Ensure workplace safety at all times.

• Conduct acceptance tests on repaired part such that its functionality is repeatable and reproducible to ensure good quality
• Ensure proper knowledge transfer is conducted and supervise Industrial Attachment (IA) students
• Provide support to module Equipment Engineers and perform repairs for semiconductor production equipment and parts in cleanroom environment, on ad-hoc basis
• Adhere to SOP when performing repairs to ensure best quality and to strive to achieve 95% repair success rate
• Perform inventory control on consumables and spare parts used in repair workshop
• Source and liaise with vendors for quotations of required parts and follow up on delivery timeline
• Ensure workplace safety is practiced at all times

Requirements

• Diploma / Higher Nitec / Nitec in Engineering (Microelectronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor field
• Expertise in either soldering, pumps, valves or strong knowledge in Microelectronics
• Able to perform circuit board repair and component level troubleshooting skills
• Resourceful and has initiative
• Working experience in front end semiconductor industry would be advantageous
