Job summary

FOO KON TAN SERVICES PTE. LTD. invites applications for an internal audit role to evaluate control designs, test operating effectiveness, and draft findings across key business processes in Singapore.

The role requires a degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with exposure to professional accounting environments and governance frameworks. You will participate in ERM workshops and collaborate with managers and interns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.
• 2+ years of relevant audit experience preferred in professional accounting firms.

Responsibilities

• Understand accounting principles and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Demonstrate understanding of risks and internal control objectives of business processes.
• Demonstrate awareness of internal audit standards and governance frameworks, including ERM.
• Conduct interviews and walkthroughs to assess internal control designs and identify design gaps.
• Develop procedures for test of operating effectiveness.
• Conduct test of operating effectiveness.
• Draft findings and validate with process owners or management.
• Engage in reviews with engagement manager/partner.
• Review the work of associates/interns.
• Support ERM workshops.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understand accounting principles and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards

• Demonstrate a general awareness of general internal audit standards and best practice corporate governance and internal control frameworks, including the Enterprise Risk Management framework


• Conduct interviews and walkthroughs to assess internal control designs and identify design gaps;


• Develop procedures for test of operating effectiveness;


• Conduct test of operating effectiveness;


• Draft findings relating to all areas;


• Discuss and validate findings with process owners or management;


• Engage in reviews with engagement manager/partner;


• Review the work of associates / interns; and


• Support Enterprise Risk Management workshops.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree Qualification


• Possess at least 2 years of relevant experience in professional accounting firms will be preferred
