Job summary

A leading global university in Singapore is seeking a Senior Assistant Manager for the Academic Partnership Office. This role will involve coordinating various healthcare education initiatives and projects, engaging with stakeholders, and performing administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a degree and at least 5 years of experience in administrative support in a biomedical or academic setting, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. This is a 3-year full-time position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in administrative support in biomedical, clinical, or academic environments.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience in project and event management, plus workflow automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging stakeholders of NHG, LKCMedicine and AHS.
  • Coordinating programmes and funding administration related to the AHS.
  • Preparing submissions, proposals, and reports on budgets and outcomes.
  • Organizing outreach events to engage the community.
  • Providing secretariat support for AHS committees.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Job description

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

Align with this aim, LKCMedicine and National Healthcare Group (NHG) has jointly set up the Academic Partnership Office (APO), under the Academic Health System (AHS) to better integrate education, research and innovation through the Academic Clinical Programmes (ACPs) to groom the next generation of clinicians.

We currently recruiting a Senior Assistant Manager who will join the APO. This role will be instrumental in driving the implementation and coordination of a broad range of initiatives and projects of the ACPs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engaging stakeholders of NHG, LKCMedicine and AHS
  • Coordinating programmes, projects, funding administration and other initiatives related to the AHS
  • Data collection and preparation of submissions, proposals and reports, e.g. on budgets and outcomes
  • Organising outreach and publicity platforms to engage the wider community of clinicians and faculty
  • Secretariat support for committees under the AHS
  • Other relevant duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager
Key Competencies and Educational Requirements
  • Graduates from universities with at least 5 years of experience in administrative support in biomedical/clinical/academic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience in project management, events management and Excel tools such as V‑lookup, Pivot Table etc., will be an added advantage
  • Experience in workflow automation will be an added advantage
  • Able to work independently, perform under pressure and work effectively as a team
  • Good time management, able to multi‑task and meet tight reporting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment, without compromising quality of output
  • Numerically inclined, meticulous, proactive with good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

This is a 3‑year full time position.
