Job summary

PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, is seeking an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Shift Operations) to operate and monitor water treatment processes, ensuring potable water quality and regulatory compliance. Candidate should hold a Diploma in Engineering and be prepared for rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent in related discipline.
• Willingness to perform rotating shifts (3 shifts: 7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, 11pm–7am).
• Experience in water treatment or process plant operations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SCADA is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate water treatment plant and equipment to produce potable water to required quantities and quality, per guidelines.
• Carry out water sampling and lab tests to monitor and ensure water quality within regulation.
• Adhere to SOPs, WSH regulations, and Permit-to-Work; participate in safety drills and improvements.
• Supervise contractors on-site ensuring safety, quality and contractual compliance.
• Hand over with other shift operators and plant teams; share updates and resolve issues.
• Maintain logs and contribute to process improvements and SOP reviews.
