Job description

As the Budget and Reporting Lead at A*STAR, you will play a critical FP&A role in the financial planning and analysis functions across the organization. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights and reporting, overseeing grant management process and ensuring compliance to various grant rules and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

    Review the RIE budget submission to MTI, including the consolidated budget requests from divisions for management's approval.
    Provide timely and insightful financial updates and reporting to senior management and other stakeholders.
    Oversee grant management activities, including the review of fund requisition, grant audit report and operationalization of grant award to research performers.
    Ensure compliance to government's rules and audit guidelines on the use of public resources through a strong corporate governance.
    Active business partnership to various stakeholders in providing financial insights and advice to achieve business objectives.
    Drive digitalization initiatives to achieve operational efficiency and optimize resource allocation and utilization.
    Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

    Preferably with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
    Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
    Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools is advantageous
    Able to work independently and in a team to deliver outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
