The successful candidate will mentor team members, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Essential qualifications include a Master’s degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and a strong background in process improvement within a cleanroom environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Optical, Materials, Mechanical, or Precision Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry; or Bachelor's degree with 8+ years relevant experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Knowledgeable in ERP systems (SAP).
• Professional certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Management are advantageous.
• Proven leadership experience in optical, laser, or fiber product development or manufacturing.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement projects.
• Hands-on experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), new product introduction (NPI), and process development.
• Experience commissioning test and measurement systems for laser/fiber assembly products.
• Proficient in implementing and maintaining process controls and quality assurance systems.
• Practical knowledge of root cause analysis and conducting Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Experienced in customer interfacing and managing escalations.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AS9100 standards.
• Knowledge of new part number generation processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the product lifecycle in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
• Ensure timely closure of RFQs and report Turnaround Time (TAT).
• Lead successful execution of Factory Acceptance Test and First Article Inspection.
• Lead customer communications during escalations and provide progress updates.
• Ensure operational readiness and successful handover of projects.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to develop high-quality product designs.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability principles to maximize product yield.
• Lead testing strategy and process development for new products.
• Prepare and document processes for production transfer.
• Implement process controls, support technician training, and resolve technical issues.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance yield and reduce waste.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and drive operational excellence.

• Own the product lifecycle, including RFQ management in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to meet customer requirements.

• Lead and ensure successful execution of FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), FLP (First Lot Production), and FAI (First Article Inspection) to meet customer requirements.

Job Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in optical, laser, or fiber product development or manufacturing in a cleanroom environment.

• Hands‑on experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), new product introduction (NPI), and process development.
