Job description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Art Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the emotional and psychological well‑being of our elders through the creative use of art therapy. You will take ownership of designing and delivering meaningful art therapy programmes across our centres, residences, and home‑based settings, while also supporting the development of staff capabilities in this specialised area.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will collaborate closely with other allied health professionals to create holistic, person‑centred interventions. This role also offers opportunities to contribute to research and innovation in art therapy practices, advancing our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Assess clients for suitability of art therapy services offered and make appropriate referrals
  • Must be willing to travel around Singapore
  • Create and conduct individual or group art therapy programmes/sessions for elders across centres, residences and home
  • Conduct training for relevant staff/care givers to use and conduct appropriate art programs.
  • Maintain client records/case notes, in the form of artwork which the clients have drawn.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists/occupational therapists/music therapists/Program Development Unit to create holistic programs for clients.
  • Attend case conferences to share ideas, expertise and good practice
  • Maintain art therapy materials and propose best practices to hiring manager
  • Explore potential areas of growth of art therapy into spirituality, dementia, depression management.
  • Monitor competencies of trained staff to ensure efficacy of programmes.
  • Participate or contribute to quality improvement/research initiatives to measure the quality of programmes
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Art Therapy
  • At least 5 Year(s) of relevant work experience in the related field is required for this position.
