Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior Architectural Coordinator to lead the design team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of shop drawings and coordinating between multiple teams. Candidates should possess a degree in Architecture and at least 5 years of relevant experience in the industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant industry, preferably on a project.
• Ability to produce accurate shop drawings and updates in a timely manner.
• Must have knowledge of relevant authorities’ requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural drafting team and ensure accurate drawings.
• Liaise with Structural and M&E Coordinators for timely shop drawings.
• Identify discrepancies in shop drawings and ensure buildability.
• Relay design intent from architect to workable construction drawings.
• Ensure consistency between architectural and consultant drawings.
• Adhere to workplace safety practices.

Overview

The Senior Architectural Coordinator acts as the Lead Coordinator of the design team and is responsible for leading a team of architectural draftsperson.

Responsibilities

• Liaise closely with the Structural and M&E Coordinators to ensure buildable shop drawings are issued timely to the project site team.
• Ensure drawings produced by the drafting team and sub-contractors are accurate and timely in alignment with the Project Master Program.
• Identify shop drawings discrepancies, buildability, and impact on different disciplines.
• Relate design intent from architect/design consultant to buildable construction shop drawing.
• Ensure design intent on critical dimensions are highlighted; details are workable and coordinated with other trades.
• Liaise with architect, design consultant, and sub-contractors on design intent and technical issues.
• Coordinate between architectural team and consultant drawings to ensure consistency in construction drawings.
• Adherence to safety practices in the workplace.

Qualifications and Education

• Education: Minimum Degree in Architecture or relevant fields
• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant industry, preferably to have been full time assigned on a project.

Technical Competencies

• Coordination and identify areas of concern with design intent
• Understanding of structural / M&E drawings
• Able to communicate with consultants in clear hand sketches drawing
• Awareness of requirements of relevant authorities (ie.BCA, SCDF, LTA)
• Awareness of contractual obligations/rights
