About the Team

You will be part of Sea’s HQ Finance department, which plays an integral role in supporting the accounting and finance needs of our three core businesses (Garena, Shopee, Monee) and across our diverse regional market presence. Within the department, Merger & Acquisition, you will be supporting investment projects across three core businesses. You will be actively involved in various stages of the deal process, from preliminary assessment to execution, documentation, and closing.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and skills in the financial aspects of transactions, supported by well-rounded accounting and finance experience. You should have a proven ability to deliver high-quality insights under tight timelines and be capable of managing multiple assignments simultaneously. The role also involves evaluating the financial and tax implications of acquisitions and other strategic opportunities, leading or supporting due diligence activities, and preparing clear, concise reports that highlight key findings for senior management.

Job Description
M&A Projects
  • Work closely with the various stakeholders on M&A projects for Sea and its businesses
  • Support finance due diligence, tax due diligence and other finance aspects on the potential opportunities
  • Engage in discussions with internal stakeholders and target management teams, providing analytical support and ensuring smooth execution throughout the engagement.
  • Develop clear, concise reports and presentations highlighting financial and commercial findings, and their impact on valuation and transaction terms.
  • Conduct in-depth market research on the prospective investment opportunities
  • Support execution of M&A project deliverables including transaction documentation, coordinate inputs across legal, finance, tax and treasury functions in a timely manner
Other Finance & Accounting Projects
  • Execute and manage ongoing projects which are not limited to adoption of new accounting standards, impairment review analysis, investment analysis, implementing of finance or IT systems and process improvements, as assigned
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered timely and project scope and objectives are met
  • Liaise closely and align requirements with relevant stakeholders
  • Identify and drive process improvements and undertake other finance duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or ACCA or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 4 years of working experience, preferably with M&A experience on financial due diligence or related technical accounting consultation
  • Experience in financial services or fintech sectors is highly advantageous
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage, as the role requires communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
  • Rapid turnaround of analysis and deliverables, while maintaining exceptional accuracy and analytical rigor
  • Independent, flexible and able to deal with ambiguity and pressure
  • Meticulous, analytical and equipped with a problem-solving mindset and can-do attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work well with others
