Job summary

Workato is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer (Agents) to design, develop, and optimize AI/ML products that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will blend software engineering with deep ML expertise to build robust AI systems.

In this role you will design advanced AI/ML architectures, create conversational interfaces, production-grade pipelines, and feedback loops. You will collaborate with data scientists to productionize new approaches and monitor system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years backend development with Python, Golang or Java.
• Experience building production AI systems with LLMs.
• NLU and intent classification with knowledge bases.
• Multi-channel automation across chat, email, voice with context.
• REST API design and integration.
• Docker, Kubernetes and cloud deployment experience.
• Experience with A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced AI/ML systems with a focus on LLMs, AI Agents, and RAG architectures.
• Build conversational AI interfaces for multi-turn customer interactions with context preservation.
• Build production-grade AI pipelines for data processing, model training, fine-tuning, and serving at scale.
• Implement feedback loops and continuous learning from customer satisfaction metrics and conversations.
• Create analytics dashboards to track automation effectiveness and key KPIs.
• Lead technical initiatives for AI system integration into existing products and services.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize new AI approaches and models.
