Job summary

Thales Research & Technology (TRT) in Singapore invites an experienced Senior Data Science & AI Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will develop AI-powered systems that convert operational data into actionable insights, enabling trusted, data-driven decisions across engineering and manufacturing domains.

The role spans full lifecycle AI development, DataOps/MLOps pipelines, and collaboration with IT and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions with measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, Data Science, IT, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong Python skills; RESTful APIs with FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience with AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and modern frameworks.
• Solid data engineering, DataOps, MLOps, SQL, enterprise system integration, Docker, Git, CI/CD.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking; translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; proactive and ownership mentality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered software, data, and automation solutions within Agile/Scrum; gather requirements, develop POCs, and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Own the full software development lifecycle: architecture, UI/UX, coding, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, deployment and maintenance.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable DataOps and MLOps pipelines with data integration, processing, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
• Develop AI applications using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and workflow automation to boost engineering productivity and decision-making.
• Integrate data from MES, ERP, IoT, sensors, databases, and engineering apps while ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
• Design and implement intelligent automation, alerting, and notification systems to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to deploy secure, scalable AI solutions; provide user training and gather feedback; maintain documentation.
• Contribute to innovation by exploring AI technologies and promoting best practices.
