Job summary

sggovterp is hiring a Senior Developer, AI Applications to design and build AI features for an intelligent Digital Shopfront powering OneMotoring. You will create secure backend integrations, enable retrieval-augmented generation, and ensure AI outputs are reliable and explainable.

You will work across the platform with engineers to embed AI in systems, monitor production, and iterate based on usage data while upholding security and governance in a regulated public-sector environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and prompt design.
• Understanding retrieval-augmented generation concepts.
• Security-focused engineering and zero-trust mindset.
• Proficiency in Python and modern frontend integration.

Responsibilities

• Build secure integrations: API connections to data vaults and legacy systems with authentication and caching.
• Embed AI in applications: design AI-assisted components for touchpoints and workflows.
• Engineer the retrieval layer: embeddings, semantic search, and grounded responses.
• Review vendor AI approaches: ensure accuracy, security, and maintainability.
• Make AI reliable in production: monitoring, evaluation, and graceful fallbacks.
• Work across the platform: align AI features with overall architecture and design.
• Own features end to end: use usage data to refine AI pipelines for value.
