Job summary

A well-established insurance firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced actuary to enhance their Risk Management and Actuarial services. This role includes providing strategic insights on pricing, conducting quarterly reserving reviews, and developing robust risk management models. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in non-life insurance, strong leadership skills, and proficiency in statistical tools like R or Python. This is a high-impact position reporting to the Chief Risk Officer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in non-life insurance with a focus on pricing and reserving.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development experience.
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide insights on pricing and portfolio performance.
• Support signing actuary in quarterly reserving reviews.
• Develop risk management models for enterprise risk frameworks.
• Drive process improvements within the department.
• Mentor junior team members in actuarial and risk management.
• Assist in merger and acquisition activities.
