Job summary
UIB Asia reinsurance brokers pte. ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced actuarial professional to extend analytics services to clients and act as a hub of analytics excellence for the group. The role supports brokers and clients in developing solutions and pricing advice within our modelling framework.
The ideal candidate has 3–6 years in non-life actuarial work, CAT modelling experience, and strong communication skills to present findings and collaborate cross-functionally.
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in Non-Life Insurance / Reinsurance Actuarial space.
- Experience in Reinsurance Treaty and/or CAT Modelling.
- Ability to work independently with a client-centred focus.
- Strong ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical conversations with brokers and clients, and assist promptly to queries.
- Perform technical costing of reinsurance solutions using experience and exposure pricing techniques.
- Perform Dynamic Financial Analysis (DFA) as part of the reinsurance optimisation exercise.
- Present Actuarial and CAT modelling result findings to clients and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with CAT Modelling Analysts to test and validate results.
- Lead internal research, market benchmarking and other value-proposition initiatives.
