Reporting directly to the Head of Actuarial, you will support a wide range of initiatives including pricing, reserving, actuarial modelling, financial reporting, regulatory analysis, and the integration of actuarial intelligence into digital platforms. Beyond technical actuarial work, you will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and client-facing teams to translate complex actuarial concepts into practical business solutions.

This position is ideal for an actuarial professional who enjoys combining strong technical expertise with stakeholder engagement and problem-solving in a technology-driven environment.

  • Support pricing exercises, including rate development, premium calculations, product profitability assessments, and benefit illustration modelling.
  • Assist with reserve calculations, liability valuations, and actuarial reporting under IFRS 17, Risk-Based Capital (RBC), and other applicable frameworks.
  • Develop, validate, and document actuarial models using Python or R, promoting scalable and automated modelling practices.
  • Contribute to actuarial opinions, technical reports, regulatory submissions, and client deliverables.

  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and delivery teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Support agile delivery processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain clear documentation of assumptions, business rules, model logic, and operational processes.

  • Analyse key insurance and actuarial performance metrics, including claims experience, lapse rates, profitability, and pricing adequacy.
  • Perform data extraction, cleansing, validation, and analysis from multiple data sources.
  • Execute testing and validation of actuarial and financial calculation engines, including API-based testing.
  • Prepare clear management reports and presentations that communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Provide actuarial support to internal stakeholders across sales, product, technology, and client success functions.
  • Contribute to the development of financial planning, product recommendation, and benefit illustration solutions.
