Job Summary

This role required to supports the department manager in financial and costing operations. Responsibilities include managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, assisting in audits, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities
  • Process month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and reconcile key accounts such as bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, costing reports, and group consolidation reports.
  • Analyze financial and cost data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with non-finance teams to communicate financial insights and cost control measures.
  • Guide stakeholders on financial and costing matters to enhance profitability.
  • Maintain cost records, monitor variances, and analyze manufacturing expenses.
  • Conduct inventory valuation and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels.
  • Prepare budget templates and consolidate data from different departments.
  • Develop budgets for fixed assets, leases, and material usage based on production plans.
  • Prepare quarterly GST returns and tax schedules for corporate tax computations.
  • Address tax-related queries.
  • Support statutory and internal audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to queries.
  • Prepare deferred tax schedules and handle ACRA XBRL filing.
  • Maintain financial records and assist in documenting new or revised processes.
  • Support digitalization projects and collaborate with IT for process automation.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting or a related professional qualification.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Basic knowledge of GST and corporate tax.
  • Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management for collaborative outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented and highly meticulous.
