Job summary

A leading consulting company in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage day-to-day financial operations. The role involves preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and assisting with audits. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accountancy and 4–5 years of experience in the IT or projects-related industry. Qualifications

  • Understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, month-end closing).
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and internal controls.

Job Description

You will be responsible for handling the day-to-day accounting and finance operations in a fast-paced technology environment. You will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, support internal controls, and assist in audit, tax, and compliance activities. The role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently and to collaborate with other teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle full sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations, month-end closing)
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Review customer invoices and follow up on receivables
  • Manage supplier payments and employee expense claims
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Prepare GST submissions and assist with tax computations
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and banks
  • Assist in process improvement and implementation of accounting systems or automation tools
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and internal controls
Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
  • Minimum 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the IT or projects-related industry
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Microsoft ERP systems (BC or NAV) would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in handling multi-currency transactions is an advantage
  • Exposure to intercompany transactions and project costing will be a plus
