Position Title: Senior Accounts Executive

Reports to: Head, Finance & Admin

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of journal entries for depreciation, prepayments, accruals, and other receivables.
    • Verification and processing of vendor payments and staff reimbursement claims, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and posting to the correct ledger accounts, compliance with finance policies and approved budgets.
    • Record all incoming receipts, including donations, grant and other income, into the accounting system on a timely basis.
    • Maintain and control the Fixed Assets Register, including:
      • Verification, tagging, and recording of newly acquired or donated assets
      • Ensuring proper authorisation and documentation for asset disposals
      • Accurate computation and posting of depreciation entries
      • Conducting and reviewing physical asset count and reconciling them to the register
    • Maintain the Cash/Bond Investment Register, including:
      • Monitoring of surplus funds and liaising with banks on investment options
      • Ensuring proper authorization and documentation
      • Posting to the general ledger
    • Perform monthly reconciliations between the CRM and the accounting system to ensure completeness and accuracy of donation records.
    • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
    • Support external and internal audits by providing timely, accurate financial schedules, confirmations, and explanations as required.
    • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, controls, and relevant regulatory and funding requirements.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls within the finance function.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Bachelor of Accountancy (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
