A financial services company based in Singapore is looking for a Finance Manager to manage month-end and year-end closings. Location: Brighthill
Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm
Salary: up to $6,000 + VB

Financial Close & Entity Management

• Independently manage and execute month‑end and year‑end closing for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, deferrals, and balance sheet schedules.
• Own the general ledger and ensure compliance with group policies and local statutory requirements.
• Partner with business and operational teams to understand key drivers of financial performance and provide insights into variances and trends.
• Continuously improve close and reporting processes through automation and system enhancements.
• Analyze revenue and expense accounts, providing variance analysis and insightful explanations.

Compliance, Reporting & Audit

• Ensure full compliance with IFRS or local accounting standards and maintain high‑quality documentation and internal controls.
• Prepare and review management and statutory financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits, ensuring efficient completion of audit deliverables.
• Support preparation of corporate income tax, VAT/GST, and other statutory filings, coordinating with external service providers where necessary.

Business Partnership & Process Improvement

• Act as a finance partner to business units, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Evaluate, design, and implement process improvements leveraging technology tools such as NetSuite, Excel, or automation platforms.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Marketing, HR, and Strategy teams to support new initiatives and entity structuring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including experience with entity‑level ownership or financial close.
• Prior experience in audit or with Big 4/public accounting firms is advantageous.
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Exposure to fintech, technology, or multi‑entity international operations is a plus.
• Good technical accounting knowledge, with the ability to translate accounting impacts into business insights.
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
