Job summary

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage revenue recognition, advertising expenditure reconciliation, financial accounting, and month-end closing activities for our international business operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with finance, business, and technology teams to improve accounting accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and enhance financial systems and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue and Cost Accounting

• Manage the reconciliation, accounting, and settlement of international advertising expenditure.

• Verify advertising performance and billing data against internal records, media platform reports, and third-party agency invoices.

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of advertising-related expenses and settlements.

• Manage revenue accounting, reconciliation, and journal entries in accordance with applicable accounting policies and standards.

• Review and continuously improve revenue and cost accounting methodologies, processes, and system efficiency.

2. General Ledger and Financial Closing

• Manage general ledger accounting activities for one or two assigned legal entities.

• Perform monthly closing, account reconciliations, journal reviews, and financial reporting activities.

• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and supporting disclosures.

• Prepare audit schedules, maintain accounting documentation, and support internal and external audits.

• Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards and internal policies.

3. Finance Systems and Process Improvement

• Participate in the implementation, testing, and ongoing enhancement of advertising settlement and accounting systems.

• Collaborate with technology teams to define business requirements, review system functionality, and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting and settlement workflows.

• Support the standardisation and automation of finance processes.

4. Reporting and Business Collaboration

• Prepare periodic revenue, expenditure, reconciliation, and settlement reports.

• Provide financial data and analysis to support business decisions, cost management, and operational planning.

• Collaborate with business, finance, and technology stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial controls.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, revenue accounting, cost accounting, or general ledger functions.

• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.

• Experience working with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.

• Good analytical skills and the ability to understand business transactions and recommend appropriate accounting treatments.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively across different teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualifications.

• Experience in the internet, mobile gaming, digital advertising, or technology industries.

• Familiarity with advertising settlement processes, media platform billing, and agency invoice reconciliation.

• Experience supporting finance system implementations, process automation, or UAT.

• Familiarity with SFRS(I), IFRS, or other applicable financial reporting frameworks.

• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA (Singapore).
