About the Job

Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You’ll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, and constantly look for ways to help the team become more efficient and effective.

You’ll lead an accounting process from end to end, reconcile balance sheets and P&L accounts, and provide supplementary financial information for internal and external reports. You’ll partner closely with the business and cross‑functional teams across Finance, Product, Global Partnerships, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Operations, and more to support one of the fastest‑growing business areas in Google.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership and accountability for the accuracy, timeliness, effectiveness, and efficiency of APAC regional financial reporting and controllership processes.
  • Participate in cross‑finance readiness for product initiatives, working through Tax, Legal, Treasury, Accounting, and Operational implications, providing product and jurisdictional expertise.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to enable successful launch operationalization/implementation and participate in system design and accounting testing as required.
  • Collaborate with global and regional cross‑functional teams to lead and manage execution of global business programs with an APAC focus.
  • Act as the first point of contact and provide advisory support to the business on commercial agreements, ensuring timely agreement execution and compliance, articulating risks to management, and providing insights to inform decision‑making.
